- If the report shows that businesses are reluctant to hire replacements, then this indicates a pessimistic sentiment about the US economy.
- Regardless of how many job openings businesses are looking for, if the number of hirings is still low or stalls combined with the recent high unemployment rate, then this still does not mean a positive message for them as well.
- Separated rate is also important, which indicates the number of layoffs, quits, discharges, and other separations. So a higher separation rate would also likely be equivalent to a higher unemployment rate.
